1. We must reduce expenses:

The following actions were taken in order to meet this goal:

• Eliminated the salaried ($30,000 annual) position of Borough Administrator as a stand-alone position
• Appointed a special project engineering firm, providing us with the opportunity to have firms compete for our engineering projects, effectively lowering our engineering fees
• Negotiated inter-local deals with neighboring towns to improve our purchasing power
• Combined the stationery of the Mayor and the Council onto one letterhead

2. We must increase revenues:

This was accomplished by:

• Securing two contracts for two cell phone companies to place the antenna on our cell tower, bringing the municipality an additional $60,000 dollar in revenue a year

• Identified three sites in the Borough that can be used to bring in more revenues by inviting potential investors to develop these properties

3A. Increase recreational activities for residents: (link)

• Initiated with Prospect Park PBA Drop-In every Thursday and Friday evening in PS #1 Gymnasium

• Initiated "Movie Night" every Friday night from 5:30pm to 9:30pm for the children in the municipal building

• Improved the playground and ball field area in Hofstra Park

3B. Improve the quality of life for our residents:(link)

• Hired 5 new special police officer to concentrate on problematic areas, especially during the summer days
  
• Appointed a new Chief of Police
  
• Ordered strict enforcement of laws pertaining to quality of life issues
